MNA's 2nd Annual House DFL Caucus Fundraiser (Wed. 9/22/10)

On Wednesday, September 22, MNA will be hosting our second annual fundraiser for the House DFL Caucus, featuring House Majority Leader (and possibly future Speaker) Tony Sertich and Rep. Erin Murphy, RN and other key legislators.

If we want to move a Safe Staffing bill next legislative session, we have to do some work during the campaign season to elect legislators who share our concern for patient safety as well as Single Payer and the protection of the practice of nursing. This event is an important opportunity for individual nurses to show their support for the elected officials and candidates who will stand with us in our work next session.

Please see the attached postcard. Spread the word and plan to attend on Sept 22nd.
RSVP online or to Eileen Gavin or 651-414-2871

  • If you are unable to attend but would still like to donate, please click here or mail your check to the DFL Caucus, East Plato Blvd., St. Paul, MN 55107.

When: Tuesday March 1, 2011
Where: State Capitol

WHY GO TO NURSES DAY ON THE HILL??

Nurses have consistently brought to light critical issues about nurse staffing and patient safety. Nurse voices will continue to be important as the debate emerges on how to address these issues while balancing the budget.

YOU can make a difference in helping your legislator see the health care system through the eyes of a nurse and patient advocate.

Your presence, your expertise and your passion will help shape the future of health care, the practice of nursing and the safety of your patients.
