Education
MNA is instrumental in shaping and supporting educational programs at all levels of practice. In addition, the Association pursues and supports research projects that enhance the body of nursing professional knowledge.
MNA’s core strength lies in one-to-one member interaction. Through networking and interaction between nurse educators and direct care nurses, relevant issues for practice and education emerge. The result is dynamic curricula for Minnesota nursing programs.
The Association also takes an active advisory role in academic program structure as a whole. For example, MNA has been a strong proponent of accessibility and support for students qualifying under the Americans with Disabilities Act. MNA members also participate in collaborative forums that include health care industry and academic interests to address growing workforce issues.
