Responsibilities
The foremost duty of the Labor Relations program is to negotiate and enforce workplace contracts, and advocate for you as members, which means elected leaders and staff provide advice and support regarding workplace conditions, labor education, and labor research.
- Develop economic and employment standards and policies and devise methods of implementation and evaluation
- Study developments in overall economy and economic aspects of health care delivery
- Provide information and counseling regarding employment conditions
- Contract negotiations for 85 Bargaining Units
- Contract management (labor-management committees, grievances, communication, etc.)
- Labor education and training
